Description
|
If
you enjoy birding and watchable wildlife areas, nice summer days
outside, and contributing to your public lands this is the volunteer
opportunity for you! This grand volunteer opportunity is in the McInnis
Canyon NCA. It is a riparian restoration planting for watchable wildlife
and waterfowl. A total of 950 plants will be planted consisting of
shrubs, forbs and grass/grasslike plants. Come,get wet, enjoy birding,
work and have fun in your NCA. Gear needed would be hats, sunscreen,
gloves, water shoes(old sneakers), and anything else you may want for
outdoor work. Water and lunch will be provided. |

Location Description
|
From
Grand Junction drive West on Interstate 70 to the Mack exit go North
(right) across the railroad tracks to the stop sign. Go West(left) on
HWY 6&50 through Mack toward Utah. Keep going until you see a sign to
the reservoir on the South side of the road. |
